The Finance department maintains the financial stability of the City, promotes a service-oriented government, and provides professional and courteous services to the residents of the community. Finance department responsibilities include budgeting, accounting, debt management, and financial reporting.
The Annual Budget details revenues and expenditures for the City for one fiscal year, which runs July to June.
The Budget at a Glance presents a high-level overview and highlights of the annual budget in a more easily understandable and digestible format for the average citizen. Included is an example of how property taxes are calculated for residential properties.
The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report provides financial information about the City’s operations during the previous fiscal year and describes its financial position at the end of the year.
The City of Clemson imposes both accommodations and hospitality taxes on certain establishments.
A 1% hospitality fee and a 1% hospitality tax is imposed on the sales of prepared meals and beverages sold in establishments or sales of prepared meals and beverages sold within an establishment. Download the hospitality tax form
