The Engineering Department works closely with other departments, especially the Utilities and Public Works departments, to manage upkeep of public, City-owned or maintained properties. This department also works with developers on all the new projects that come into the City of Clemson. The extent of this work includes onsite and off-site utilities, storm water, grading, and roads and paving. Inspections take place during construction and are coordinated through Engineering, Utilities, and Public Works.
The Site Management Dashboard is maintained by the City for residents to find information regarding developments within the City, including contact information to ask questions or report concerns.
The City of Clemson’s Lead Service Line Management Program was developed in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) ruling aimed at reducing the risk of lead in American drinking water. This federal mandate requires all water systems in the United States to verify the material of every water service line in its system.
